 Eligibility
The Susan Fund is dedicated to assisting Fairfield County residents, who
have been diagnosed with cancer, to pursue their educational goals through scholarship grants.
Criteria for considering scholarships:
- Financial status
- Academic performance
- Community involvement
- Personal commitment
Applications must include the following:
- Be a current resident of Fairfield County, Connecticut
- Have been diagnosed with cancer at some time in his/her life
- Be planning/attending an accredited post high
school institution of higher learning
- Applications must be post marked by April 1st
Scholarships are awarded based on the following eligibility guidelines:
- First time applicants MUST submit a medical statement from
their doctor describing their cancer diagnosis. Past recipients are
encouraged to submit a current medical statement.
- Latest school transcript from high school or college.
- Best estimate of educational expenses and financial support.
- Letter of recommendation from an employer or school authority
(other than a relative).
- Signed publicity release.
- Recent photograph.
